Online Backups
Backing up your files, folders and other data is one of the most important aspect of business, yet, one that is often overlooked.
Did you ever wonder what would happen to your business if your data was to disappear overnight, would your business even stand a chance to recover?
Why online backup
Online backup will allow you to go about your daily business knowing that your data is regularly backed up in a secure manner and could be recovered quickly and efficiently should the unthinkable happen.
Online backup is a secure way to back up all your files, folders, emails, databases, spreadsheets and all other documents you may have. Backups can be scheduled daily, weekly, monthly or can be triggered manually. For as long as your computer is turned on and connected to the internet our software will back up your data automatically, whenever required, and you can even have several computers, desktops and laptops, being backed up on to the one account.
Prior the online backup begins your data is encrypted using an irreversible military encryption key which only you know, your data is then backed up remotely on to our secure server. Even on our end the files are unreadable and only you will be able to recover them in the format they originally were.
Your backup is, in turn, backed on to more different remote servers to insure that should our server fails your data is still safe elsewhere.
Online backup VS traditional backup
Of course backing up is nothing new. There are a number of options out there which will allow you to back up your data, back up tapes, disks, Zip disks and a variety of backup software to work with them.
These options have many down sides:
- In most cases the data backed up is not encrypted and could therefore be read and copied by anyone, hence stolen by staff members etc.
- Onsite backup means that your backup is kept beside your original files, in the event of theft, fire, water damage etc this effectively means that both your files, and there backup will be destroyed.
- If you intend to have copies of your backup off site this would have to be done manually and will easily lead to confusion and mistakes with backups that may not be up to date etc and will create more work for yourself.
Online backup addresses all these issues:
- Your data is encrypted before to be backed up on the internet, hence, no one can read it and only you can recover / decrypt it.
- Remote backup means that in the event where your original files be stolen or destroyed, you still have a remote copy on our secure server.
- No more work, no more confusion in trying to keep a copy of your backup off site, our backup software will do just that for you.
